Coat of Arms

Regular visitors to the website may notice that although the site looks much the same as before, the overall experience of using our site has been improved and enhanced. Material is now presented in a more user friendly way and there is now greater flexibility to bring you news and announcements in a consistent way.  We hope you will agree that the modified layout gives you a more enjoyable experience whilst browsing our site.  In particular, we are expanding the material that is availabe on our Members' page - if you're not one already, find our how to join us by clicking here.

Of course, there are still a few pages that are not yet complete but we will be filling in the gaps over the coming months.  Please be patient with us!  What we can offer you now in the pages that follow is a comprehensive description of what the Project is trying to achieve, our goals for the future and the progress we are making towards meeting them. You can also find out how you can help us with our work, both by offering your services at the site and by giving us financial support through donations and membership.

So enjoy your virtual tour but remember, the Shillingstone Project is a great place to visit so come and see us in person.  You don’t have to be a dedicated railway nut; there’s something to interest all the family with a shop, museum, light refreshments, model railway and, of course, our beautifully restored station that recreates an age when steam was king.

We look forward to to seeing you at the station.
